In the spring of 2009, KFA began working with the famous photographer Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin with exhibitions “Ecce Homo”, “Relatives to death” and “In God We Trust” exhibitions. She creates beautiful stylized images, which can sometimes provoke but more generally force us to think about serious social issues. We are therefore very pleased and proud that Elisabeth has chosen to work with us. She has agreed to photograph amputees for our planned exhibition which will help to highlight the issues facing this group which has until now been relatively “invisible”in the public debate. The photographs will have an aesthetic quality. The work, entitled “Ceteris Paribus” (eng. ”Everything else is equal”) will result in a touring exhibition which we expect to be inaugurated by the Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden in the Summer- Autumn of 2010.
We are now offering a number of companies, whom we consider to be relevant to our work, the opportunity to associate themselves with this project. In return for your support, the project will offer opportunities for advertising both as part of the exhibition itself but also in the various associated printed materials (brochures, flyers etc.) plus some free advertising space in our newsletter, KFAnytt. We are confident that the exhibition will receive much attention and frequent media coverage. The aim of the project is however twofold. It is not just about highlighting a social issue. It will also – through Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin’s artistic skills – with warmth and feeling, show amputees as visible members of our communities. If your company is interested in this opportunity, please contact me.
